HCEA’s first West Coast networking event a winner

To connect to members and potential members between its national events (the Annual Meeting in June and the Summit in January), the Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) held its first West Coast regional networking event on November 18 at Jillian’s in San Francisco. Approximately 24 people, both HCEA members and non-members, mingled and reconnected with industry colleagues while sharing food, drink and conversation. The success of this event has sparked interest in holding similar events in other areas of the country.


Sponsored by General Graphics Exhibits (GGE), the event was a reunion of sorts for many HCEA members who previously worked together at a variety of companies.

“The Bay Area is a unique place,” said John Moyes, principal at GGE. “Our connections to one another are deep because most of us have been colleagues at one time or another. Our commitment to HCEA allowed us to help bring folks together. It didn’t matter whether they were suppliers or clients—we had a great time.”

HCEA is the only association solely dedicated to improving the effectiveness of all conventions, medical meetings and exhibitions for the healthcare industry. HCEA represents member organizations involved in healthcare exhibitions and conventions.
