Highmark TechSystems Announces Brian Baker Is VP

Highmark Techsystems, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, is delighted to announce that Brian Baker has rejoined the company as vice-president, focusing on the company’s growing business development, marketing and creative initiatives.

“During the last two years, as our industry stalled, I was pleased to be able to work with Highmark on a project basis on their various pivot endeavors while also helping with my wife’s family business,” says Baker. “Especially exciting has been helping launch Highmark’s sister business, YOURSpace, modular rooms manufactured with Highmark’s proprietary systems. What started as a privacy solution for homes during quarantine has now evolved into a solution with many applications—wherever people need privacy— corporations, universities, libraries, airports, conventions—YOURspace has found a market.

“Designing the YOURspace brand and product and seeing it take off has been very gratifying. But my heart has always been with Highmark and designing structural solutions for the exhibit and events marketplace. So I couldn’t be happier getting back to doing just that for experiential marketers and live events.”

Debbie Parrott, president and owner of Highmark, says, “Brian’s contributions to Highmark during the pandemic were instrumental in helping us articulate and meet new goals. Before that, he was an integral part of the Highmark team, helping launch and market our outdoor line of products – not only our ‘homemade’EventMAX outdoor deck and pavilions and our mobile offerings.

“Brian brings a vast knowledge of our industry and company,” Parrott continues. “His contacts extend within and outside the exhibit and event space. In addition, he is an incredibly creative, marketing, and business development talent ready to take Highmark to new levels of growth.”

Brian holds a BA from Purdue University in Industrial Design. He is a member of Exhibitor’s CTSM faculty, teaching a required course entitled “Graphics Bootcamp.” He lives in Atlanta with his wife, children and two amazing grandchildren.
