Hill & Partners to bring renowned cigar company to IPCPR 2012

Hill & Partners Inc., a full-service team of branded environment specialists has announced the addition of La Palina Cigars to its client roster and will premier its partnership with the maker of premium handmade cigars at the IPCPR (International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association) 80th Annual Convention  and Tradeshow, to be held August 2-6 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

La PalinaThe creative team at Hill & Partners will bring La Palina to the prestigious trade show with a handsome custom rental 20-by-20 exhibit fronted by four glass cases displaying the La Palina product line.  A pair of monitors will provide information about the company, which was originated more than a century ago by the current owner’s grandfather.

La Palina Cigars is owned by William “Bill” C. Paley, whose father William S. Paley founded the Columbia Broadcasting System, better known as CBS.  In 1896, Bill Paley’s grandfather, Sam, created the Congress Cigar Company and the La Palina brand. When Sam retired in 1926, Congress Cigar Company shut its doors, but the business was revived in 2010 when Bill relaunched the LaPalina brand.

The branded environment will honor Paley’s grandmother, Goldie Drell Paley after whom the original La Palina product was named, with a backdrop of her likeness.

Hill & Partners will bring additional design appeal to the tradeshow exhibit with the inclusion of a simulated living room, complete with a circa-1920s radio and an original CBS microphone.

“We’re excited to work with La Palina and build awareness of the company’s fascinating history and its  line of premium cigars,” said Michael McMahon, president and CEO of Hill & Partners.
