Five Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) fairs will bring more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre beginning Thursday, Aug. 13.
The 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, and 12th Home Delights Expo will run through Monday, Aug. 17. Meanwhile, the fourth Food Expo PRO and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair will take place Thursday, Aug. 13, through Saturday, Aug. 15.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products will run alongside the fairs from Thursday, Aug. 13, through Saturday, Aug. 15.
International pavilions expand
The five fairs will feature 43 group pavilions. Participants will represent markets across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
For the first time, exhibitors from all Association of Southeast Asian Nations member states will take part in the two trade fairs. Brunei and Timor-Leste will make their debuts, while Colombia and Greece will also participate for the first time.
The Korea Pavilion has expanded by 40 percent from last year and will include more than 130 exhibitors. HKTDC says it will be the largest overseas pavilion across the August fairs.

Food Expo PRO adds new zones
Food Expo PRO will introduce a Meat Zone focused on premium meat products and related goods. The Coffee Zone will also return with participants from Yunnan, Colombia, Macao, Myanmar, Thailand, and the United States.
In addition, the Food Science and Technology Zone will highlight alternative foods, future food products, and food-service technology. One exhibitor will demonstrate a food-service robot designed to show how automation and artificial intelligence can support restaurant operations.
Pet food products will appear at Food Expo PRO for the first time. More than 130 exhibitors will also carry the halal food and beverage label across Food Expo PRO and Food Expo.
A halal networking reception is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 14.

Tea Fair blends tradition and new products
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will feature exhibitors from the Chinese Mainland, Kenya, Laos, Sri Lanka, and other markets.
New additions include a Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and a Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. The fair will also introduce a Tea Lifestyle zone with sparkling tea, tea cocktails, tea pastries, teaware, and tea meditation activities.
The Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will examine the international growth of Chinese tea brands.
Wellness and home products round out program
The Beauty & Wellness Expo will introduce a Stay Relax zone with products aimed at rest and recovery. The Home Delights Expo will add a Go Sleep Exp area focused on sleep health and related products.
The Chinese medicine conference has expanded from two days to three and will feature more than 30 speakers. Participants from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the United Kingdom will discuss research, regulation, and global development.
Food Expo PRO will open to trade buyers Thursday, Aug. 13, and Friday, Aug. 14. It will open to both trade buyers and the public Saturday, Aug. 15. The Tea Fair will remain open to both groups throughout its three-day run.
