The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology Annual Meeting (ASTRO) recently named the Hood Exhibits’ designed and fabricated booth for innovative medical solutions company Elekta the Best Large Commercial Exhibit of 2009. The exhibit was chosen from hundreds of exhibitors at one of the largest medical conferences in the world.
Every year, thousands of medical industry professionals flock to ASTRO to see the latest in radiation therapy advancements. As a result, companies eager to show off their newest discoveries and technology enlist the help of the best exhibit companies to design standout booths to promote their marketing message.
Hood Exhibits was chosen to design and fabricated a dramatic 75-foot-by-130-foot booth for one of Elekta’s biggest appearances this year. The exhibit was created through the teamwork of key production, design and account management departments.
This year’s Elekta booth features 16 steel-like columns with 26-foot white fabric canopies cantilevered out from the top of the columns. Smaller canopies float above double-sided computer workstations, which include custom-designed Italian leather stools. Large graphics and handcrafted plasma screen monitor stands flanked key areas of the exhibit.
One of the strategically placed circular fabric canopies hovered above the main theater area, providing sound and environment enhancement. The entire exhibit sat atop specially designed raised flooring to create a sense of destination.
In one area of the exhibit, a specially designed and covered product display generated so much show buzz that the stand, alone, proved to be one of the most successful lead generation vehicles this year.
