Alexandra Santa Is Hyatt Regency Maui Director of Group Sales

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, the first destination resort in the world, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandra Santa as the director of group sales. Alexandra will be responsible for all the marketing and sales initiatives to promote group bookings at Hyatt Regency Maui. She will work closely with her team to create new experiences for guests to bring awareness to the resort’s new products. She will also push her team to think outside the box when it comes to meetings, events and offerings at the hotel.

Group sales are crucial for the success of any resort and we are so excited to have Alexandra’s leadership and expertise at Hyatt Regency Maui. She has demonstrated immense creativity and we know she will set the bar high for the rest of our team,” said Fred Findlen, general manager at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.

Alexandra brings more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry to her new role, seven of which were at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa in California. During that time, Alexandra worked in the sales department and was quickly promoted to associate director of sales. Alexandra started her career in the tourism industry at Andaz San Diego, formerly known as the Ivy Hotel.

Born in Durban, South Africa, Alexandra was raised in San Diego. She eventually moved to northern California to attend The University of California Santa Cruz where she received a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. She describes herself as someone with a profound love for people and places, which has largely contributed and shaped her career in the travel industry. Prior to working at Hyatt, she worked as an ocean lifeguard and became a certified EMT. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys cooking, working out and spending time with her two children and husband, who began his career at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.

“Throughout my entire career, I have always loved meeting new people and understanding their goals surrounding a stay,” says Santa. “Every group is a little different, and it is my job to find out how they will get the most out of their resort experience when they choose to book with us. I am incredibly honored and excited to join the amazing team at Hyatt Regency Maui.”
