The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) signed the charter for its newest student chapter at DePaul University on Dec. 12 in Chicago.
The charter was presented at the Annual Business Networking Luncheon and Awards Presentation at IAEE’s Expo! Expo! exhibition in Houston, Texas.
“One of our two strategic plan pillars is education,” said IAEE President and CEO David DuBois, CAE, CMP, FASAE, CTA. “Having DePaul University join our student chapter network is an outstanding example of our commitment to helping educate young professionals who will work in the exhibitions and events industry in the future.”
As the largest Catholic university in the U.S., DePaul University has a total of five Chicago locations. DePaul has nearly 300 undergraduate majors and graduate programs, including an Event Management concentration within its School of Hospitality Leadership.
Another IAEE Student Chapter is located at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in the College of Hotel Administration.
