The International Association of Exhibitions and Events announces the 2020 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund grant recipients. The mission of the Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund is to support exhibition and event industry education and professional development by providing a challenging and engaging educational experience. The fund is designed for young professionals, professionals new to the exhibitions and events industry, those that are intellectually curious about trends and opportunities, and those that are interested in learning about the global marketplace.
“The Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund is committed to assisting professionals in our industry pursue the highest level of professional growth they choose to achieve,” says IAEE Executive Vice President & COO Cathy Breden, CMP, CAE, CEM. “These deserving individuals have demonstrated a passion and dedication to our industry that serves to benefit us all as they develop into future leaders.”
Each year, applicants for grants are required to submit detailed information regarding their employment and experience in the exhibitions and events industry, as well as their intent for continued education and development of their career.

Hillary Harvey (pictured left) is meetings coordinator for the International Association of Venue Managers. “Working towards my CEM certification was one of my big goals for 2020; when the pandemic began I thought that goal would have to wait a few years,” she says. “Thanks to the Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund grant, I don’t have to put this goal on hold. I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue my professional education and development. Thank you to IAEE for investing in the future of our industry and making this learning opportunity a reality!”
Jordan Lawson (pictured right) is event technology sales leader for Freeman. “I am thrilled and honored to have been named a 2020 Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund recipient,” he says. “As an events industry supplier, I hold the same passion for service, hospitality and empowerment through education much like Bob himself. Danielle Tempesta (pictured left) is manager, event operations for Informa Markets Limited. “I’m so thankful for the opportunity to continue my education with the help of the Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund,” she says. “Professional development has always been important to me, so becoming certified in exhibition management is a both a professional and a personal goal. This year has taught me to remain adaptable and to always be willing to learn something new, which I will definitely be doing with this grant.”
