IAEE MATSO Council Welcomes Chairperson Justine McVaney

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) Major American Trade Show Organizer (MATSO) Council has selected Justine McVaney, senior vice president, event planning and operations for the National Association of Broadcasters, as its 2019 chairperson.

“I am looking forward to working with my fellow council members to elevate the platform for large show organizers to collaborate and learn from one another,” says McVaney. “By strengthening this community, we can share best practices, develop tools and provide innovative solutions that will positively impact the entire industry.”

McVaney is joined by new MATSO Council members Senior Director Lenay Gore for meetings, tradeshows and the American Public Transportation Association, Event Manager Tiffany Hale for Expo and National FFA Organization (Future Farmers of America) and Director and Ag Events and Show Director John Rozum for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.

The continuing MATSO Council members include Senior Director, Meetings and Events Vice-Chairperson Mark Bogdansky for Auto Care Association, Vice President of Meetings, Events and Immediate Past Chairperson Kelly Kilga, CEM for the Association for Print Technologies, Director Exhibition Sales and Operations Sacha Carey, CEM, for the Water Environment Federation, Senior Director FABTECH John Catalano for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME,) Vice President of Meetings and Events Iain Mackenzie, CEM, CMP, for the International Sign Association, Director and Expositions Connie Mikels for the National Automobile Dealers Association and Director at CES Operations Kevin Murphy, CEM, for Consumer Technology Association.

MATSO’s most recent program was the MATSO Content and Cocktails at Expo! Expo!, IAEE’s Annual Meeting and Exhibition 2018, held Dec. 2018 in New Orleans, which featured targeted programming for MATSO members only.

MATSO is currently preparing for its 2019 MATSO Program, to be hosted by INFOCOMM 2019 on June 12-13 in Orlando, Fla. An informal evening meet-up will be arranged for those arriving June 11. The program will feature timely and relevant sessions, peer sharing activities, and the opportunity to visit the INFOCOMM 2019 show floor to experience the latest in A/V technologies. The program’s agenda is for organizers who produce shows with 200,000 NSF or more.
