Announced during the general session of Expo! Expo!, held Dec. 10-12, representatives with the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) have formed a new council with the Major American Trade Show Organizers (MATSO).
A new IAEE-MATSO council will work together to meet the needs of large show organizers. MATSO’s 30 member organizations produce and manage 52 of the largest tradeshows in North America.
Jason McGraw, chairman, IAEE, said the alliance will help organizations operate more efficiently through a unified voice in the exhibitions and events industry.
“I am thrilled MATSO will now have a dedicated position in our governance structure for these major shows,” said McGraw.
IAEE officials said this is now the third such alliance representing different segments of the exhibition industry.
