Recognizing the importance of young people in the meetings industry, EIBTM has partnered with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) to deliver The Forum for Young Professionals.
Taking place on Nov.18, the forum was developed to reach out and help young meetings professionals to gain a fresh perspective on meetings management and the industry, enhance their professional skills and connect and network with peers from around the world.
“The Forum for Young Professionals is by far the best Forum that I have attended so far,” said Hjördís María Ólafsdóttir, Reykjavík Convention Bureau, who attended the ICCA FYP conference in 2012. “The opportunity to meet all these influential people and have a dialogue with them on the industry and its changes is something that is rare for a newcomer. Thank you so much for this opportunity.”
This year, the partners have increased the number of young professionals to 35. Receiving applications from around the world, the forum will host attendees from Brazil, Germany, Argentina, India, Austria, Kenya, Belgium, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and South Africa.
EIBTM, the annual global meetings and incentive exhibition, is held annually in Barcelona, Spain. Future dates confirmed for EIBTM include: EIBTM 2014 (Nov. 18-20, 2014), EIBTM 2015 (Nov. 17-19, 2015) and EIBTM 2016 (Nov. 29-Dec. 1, 2016).
