Imprint Plus, a manufacturer of customized, reusable name badge and signage systems, promoted its director of operations to president, effective immediately.
“Chartered accountants and accounting professionals undergo rigorous business training in many and varied businesses that hone their critical thinking and analytical skills,” said Marla Kott, CEO, Imprint Plus. “For a chartered accountant, the learning never ends, which is precisely why Kristin MacMillan was selected as the newly named president of Imprint Plus.”
MacMillan brings to the company over 20 years of experience working in operations and finance.
“Financial statements are the language of business. Having a thorough understanding of financial concepts lets you understand what is actually happening in the business and prepare for the disruption, peaks and valleys that often come hand in hand with an entrepreneurial business,” said MacMillan. “Being an entrepreneur and a chartered accountant is a great combination because you can still take all the risks that every entrepreneur takes, but with the knowledge and background that helps you decide which risks are worth taking.”
Prior to working at Imprint Plus, MacMillan served as principal at Ernst & Young for 13 years.
