International CES 2014 show was its largest

Announcing its 2014 show was its largest by far, officials with International CES said more than 150,000 were in attendance.

Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in January, CES staff said a record 2 million net square feet of exhibit space was provided, housing more than 3,200 exhibitors.

Final attendee numbers will be released this spring, subject to auditing by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), which owns and produces CES.

The 2014 show unveiled a number of new products and examples of technology, according to Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CEA.

“This year’s show was an energizing display of where the future is headed, bringing to life cool new products from every industry that touches technology,” Shapiro said.

The 2015 show will run Jan. 6-9, 2015, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. For more information, visit www.CESweb.org.
