Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority Expands Team With New Communications Manager
Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority, the official destination marketing organization for Seattle Southside, including the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Des Moines, has announced Jeff Powell as the new communications manager. He will work closely with current team members to promote the region, foster relationships with key Seattle Southside stakeholders and continue the RTA’s efforts in building awareness to bring in more visitors from near and far to experience everything Seattle Southside has to offer.
As communications manager, Powell’s focus will be media relations, website and marketing content development, social media and internal and external communications on behalf of the destination marketing organization. He is excited to integrate his experience in branding, editorial storytelling, communications and strategy into the RTA team.

Powell brings more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience to Seattle Southside RTA. Most recently, he helped strategically elevate and successfully promote three distinct lifestyle brands as the communications manager at Ricardo Beverly Hills, a luggage and accessories brand based in Kent. Prior to that, he explored Asia and Australia as a travel editor with Expedia, and served as senior editor on the brand strategy team at Nordstrom, producing content for the retailer’s highly trafficked online magazine. He is a Pacific Northwest native, University of Washington alum and Seattle Southside resident.
The Seattle Southside Regional Tourism Authority (RTA) is the official destination marketing organization for Seattle Southside, including the cities of SeaTac, Tukwila and Des Moines.
