Jenny Lynch Joins Visit Indy as National Sales Manager

Visit Indy announces the hiring of Jenny Lynch as national sales manager, covering the Chicago, Wisconsin and Minnesota markets. The company believes that her depth of industry knowledge and more than 30 years in the hospitality and convention sales industry will continue to push Indianapolis forward as a premier convention and event destination.

Lynch most recently spent three years with VisitDallas as regional director of sales for the Midwest, and four years before that with VisitNorfolk as national convention sales manager for the Midwest. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Marketing from Strayer University and has earned her Travel Marketing Professional, Certified Travel Industry Specialist, and Certified Tourism Ambassador certifications.

Indianapolis recently announced plans for a 235,000-sq.-ft. expansion of the Indiana Convention Center and an additional 1,414 hotel rooms connected in two Hilton-affiliated hotels. The expansion will include a 50,000-sq.-ft. ballroom and is anticipated to open in late 2022. The city’s already record-setting “number of rooms connected to the convention center by enclosed skywalks” will increase to 6,100 rooms at 14 properties. Along with other developments in the pipeline, Indy is slated to offer more than 10,000 rooms in walking distance of the center.

The mission of Visit Indy is to increase Indianapolis economic growth by strategically selling the destination to conventions, meetings, events, and leisure travelers. According to Rockport Analytics, 28.6 million visitors provide $5.2 billion in total economic impact annually, generate $719 million in state and local taxes, and support 80,600 full-time-equivalent jobs in Central Indiana.
