Renowned events industry professional John Sklencar has joined etc.venues USA as sales development manager based at the company’s 360 Madison Avenue, New York City location.
Sklencar joins from Choose Chicago where he was national sales manager, Northeast. Previously he worked for several years both for Visit Britain in New York City and for Destination DC.
Sklencar is also well-known within the industry through his roles with Meeting Professionals International Greater New York chapter where he is director of sponsorship and was previously director of member recruitment. He was also a member of the Programs Committee of Professional Convention Management Association New York chapter for two years.
Sklencar joins etc.venues just as the company has launched its second venue in New York City, at 601 Lexington Avenue, following its first opening at 360 Madison Avenue in March 2020.
