The Dow Event Center and Legends Global have appointed Joseph Stetson as director of food and beverage operations, a newly created position overseeing food and beverage service throughout the Saginaw, Michigan, venue.
Stetson brings more than 30 years of executive chef and food-service leadership experience. His background includes work as a traveling executive chef supporting stadiums and convention centers across the country. He also owned and operated a local fine dining restaurant for 13 years and spent 13 years as executive corporate chef at Dow Chemical.
Overseeing Venue Food and Beverage Operations
In his new role, Stetson will oversee service for sporting events, concerts, family shows, conferences, banquets, and other events. He will also focus on operating standards, service consistency, and partnerships with local and regional businesses.
“It’s rare to find someone who’s run high-volume venue operations at that level and also has real roots in this community,” said Kevin Murphy, general manager of The Dow Event Center. “Joseph brings both.”
Legends Global manages The Dow Event Center and serves as its food and beverage operator.
