Laarhoven hires regional reps

Laarhoven Design announced the addition of four regional dealer representatives. In the newly created positions, these industry veterans will help educate Laarhoven dealers on a wide range of products.


According to Robert Laarhoven, president of Laarhoven Design, these individuals are uniquely qualified to help dealers become more successful with Laarhoven products because of their depth of industry knowledge, as well as their knowledge of the territory within which they will be working.

Melinda Stewart/Western region
Stewart previously owned and operated Laser Exhibitor Service of Northern California and will be responsible for facilitating dealer support services in the western states. She has nearly 30 years of industry experience having worked in sales and marketing for The Creative Establishment, Kitzing, and Dimension Works in Chicago before starting her company in California nearly 20 years ago.

Melinda graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts in business. She, her husband and four dogs reside in Napa, CA.

Vince Battaglia/Midwest region
Battaglia previously worked for Laarhoven from 1998-2001 as national sales manager will be responsible for facilitating dealer support services in the Chicagoland area and surrounding states.

Over his 19-year exhibit industry career he has worked with exhibit houses on behalf of Laarhoven Design, Coastal International, TWI Global and Cort Trade Show Furnishings. In addition to now working for Laarhoven Design, Vince will continue as founder/president of B2B Communications producing www.TheTradeshowCalendar.com and other marketing projects.

Larry Crumlish/Southwest region
With over 35 years of industry experience, Crumlish will be responsible for facilitating dealer support services in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. Previously, he was the creator and owner of the Exhibit Store located in Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas representing a wide variety of portable and modular exhibit manufacturers.

In the past eight years, he has been consulting with several exhibit manufacturers and resellers. Crumlish began in custom exhibit sales at Freeman Design and was a partner in the creation of Display Products prior to starting The Exhibit Store, one of the first “one stop” showrooms in the U.S.

Crumlish has a bachelor degree in marketing and economics from North Texas University and resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife Billy and thoroughly enjoys his five grandchildren.

Paul Szilva/Northeast region
Szilva, a 30-plus-year veteran of the portable/modular industry as owner of APT Display, will be responsible for facilitating dealer support services in the Northeast, including the sates of Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

Having sold Apt Display, one of the nation’s largest dealers of portable and modular dealers, in 2005, Szilva is well versed in the industry and brings his unique knowledge to benefit Laarhoven dealers in his area. Paul lives in Westbury, NY with his wife Maureen.
