LED Source, a North American LED lighting solutions provider, filled a newly created position with a veteran franchise executive.
Joining the company as vice president of Franchise Operations is Marc Plaisted. He will oversee the strategic planning of the Franchise network with particular emphasis on the profitability of the network both in the short and intermediate term.
“Marc brings an aptitude for franchising and an unwavering commitment to growing businesses and taking them to the next level,” said Marcel Fairbairn, president and CEO, LED Source. “He is an effective, direct communicator with a no-nonsense leader attitude, and I’m certain his experience will be just what we need to grow our franchise network worldwide.”
A former vice president of the Dairy Queen Operators Association and fourth generation multi-unit franchisee of DQ Grill and Chill, Plaisted is a highly regarded and accomplished Certified Franchise Executive (CFE).

Plaisted spent 24 years serving as a franchisee, franchisor, franchise expert witness, franchise sales broker, author, coach and consultant. He achieved numerous quality awards and performance records.
