A year after entering the mideast market with operations headquartered in Dubai, Leviton Manufacturing Company announced its expansion into India on Feb. 23.
Headquartered in Bangalore, Leviton Network Solutions, Pvt. Ltd., officially opened for business last month with satellite offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. Prasanna Kumar, regional director, heads up Leviton’s India operations, and will focus on the sale of Leviton’s full line of commercial networking products and systems.
“The opening of Leviton India reinforces our commitment to expand our worldwide presence as a leader in the commercial networking technology space,” said Daryoush Larizadeh, Leviton’s chief operating officer. “Through our mix of high quality networking products, human capital and strategic partnerships we aim to establish ourselves as a worldwide leader in data center connectivity infrastructure. Plans are underway for Leviton’s entry into other key overseas markets, including locations in South America and Europe.”
Leviton’s commercial networking products consist of data infrastructure components used throughout commercial enterprises and their data center operations.
Leviton’s new Banglore facility is equipped with an executive briefing center which showcases the company’s commercial networking product offering. The center provides an ideal venue for customer and installer training as well as conferences and meetings.
To pave the way for the company’s introduction into the India, Leviton India Network Solutions recently participated in the Interop and BISCI trade shows held in Mumbai and Banglore. Additional Leviton products, including the company’s lighting energy management systems, will be introduced in India sometime next year.
