Live Marketing, an experiential marketing agency and WBENC-certified woman-owned business, has announced Chris Kappes as vice president, strategic partnership development, a new position responsible for fostering relationships with exhibit firms and service organizations.
A three-decade industry executive, Kappes led sales/marketing organizations for George P. Johnson, Sparks, 3D Exhibits and most recently was founder, COO of Exhibitshub, the nation’s first exhibit sharing marketplace, modeled after Airbnb.
“Since our inception over 40 years ago, Live Marketing has created and delivered thousands of projects that engage, educate and excite tradeshow, event and meeting audiences across the globe,” says Anne Trompeter, principal and executive creative strategist at Live Marketing. “While most of our business has been serving brand-side marketers, exhibit firms increasingly want to add “on-call” creative and live production services to their proposals. We want to be their resource and Chris is uniquely qualified to develop and serve this market given his rich industry experience, knowledge and reputation.”
According to the 2019 Experiential Designers & Producers Economic Survey of the top 45 exhibit firms, less than 2 percent of reported revenue is attributed to marketing services—making it a significant growth opportunity for exhibit firms challenged by flat exhibitor budgets and lower margin services.
“Exhibitors today are investing more budget dollars in booth activations and content presentations because they attract and engage audiences, and increase dwell time—resulting in more qualified leads and better show performance,” says Kappes. “By partnering with Live Marketing, exhibit firms and service organizations can increase the depth of marketing services they provide to existing and new business proposals with packaged and customized storytelling solutions for every budget that deliver powerful, tangible results and make client relationships stickier.”
Since the agency’s inception 40+ years ago, Live Marketing has created and delivered thousands of brand stories that engage, educate and excite audiences. The company has produced over 6,500 tradeshow, event and meeting projects in 42 countries, helped companies launch hundreds of new products and services, and received 750+ industry awards.
