Andaz Wall Street, a Lower Manhattan hotel, announced new appointments to the hotel’s creative and innovative events department.
Emily French joins the team as a meeting & events manager and Jennifer Shaw has been promoted to meeting & events sales manager. Both French and Shaw bring extensive expertise and experience to their new roles and will further strengthen the dynamic and visionary events team.

Jennifer Shaw brings over eight years of event management experience to Andaz Wall Street, most notably in the area of nonprofit events. Shaw has been a member of the Hyatt family for several years. After starting her career as a financial advisor, she turned to the hospitality industry and began working at Grand Hyatt New York in 2010 in their food & beverage department.
In 2012, Shaw brought her experience, skills, and passion to the events team when she joined as an event coordinator, supporting the top producing event sales manager in the company, with accounts that produced over eight million dollars in revenue. In professional and voluntary capacities, Shaw has worked with over 400 events to date, with clients including Fortune 100 companies, former U.S. presidents, and United Nations programs.
This wide ranging experience has given her exceptional insight into the most up to date meeting trends across industries. In her new role as meeting & events sales manager, Shaw is responsible for corporate and government markets, as well as fundraisers.
Shaw is also on the Communications Board for the local chapter of Women @ Hyatt, and in her free time, she volunteers with the Human Rights Campaign.
Emily French comes to Andaz Wall Street from The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, where she began as part of the sales team shortly after her 2011 graduation from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Business specializing in Marketing and Retail Merchandising. She soon moved over to the Event Services team where she became a key part of the program, primarily working on weddings and social events.
French quickly rose through the ranks of event planning and moved in to the role of wedding specialist in which she was responsible for every aspect of all weddings at the storied resort, from initial inquiry and contract negotiations all the way through day of execution.
