Bringing an end to its mauve-colored panels, the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) received the last of gray-colored paint to its exterior.
The completion of the 260,000 square-feet paint job was celebrated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), which owns and operates the 3.2 million square-feet LVCC.
Contracted for the project was Techno Coatings, an industrial and commercial coatings company. In November 2012, the California-based company was awarded a $1.62 million contract by LVCVA board members.
Originally planned for 10 months, the painting project finished four months early, providing jobs to local painters and equipment companies during the process. It is one of many improvements made at the convention center over the past year to enhance customer experience.
