LVCVA conducts mission for World of Concrete producer

The director of World of Concrete (WOC) will travel to Toronto in late June to participate in a trade mission hosted by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), a promoter of Southern Nevada as a tourism and exhibitions destination.

The primary goal of the Jackie James’ mission is to increase attendees and exhibitors from Canada at World of Concrete and promote the use of concrete and masonry in the commercial construction industries.

LVCVA conducted about 15 of these missions, specifically for tradeshow producers focused on increasing their international business, working with the U.S. Department of Commerce in many countries, including Mexico, China, Brazil, Panama, Colombia.

“The international attendee has been a focus for World of Concrete for more than 10 years. Because World of Concrete attracts the latest products and technologies from around the globe, building our international attendee and exhibitor base has been a priority for us. Our show has been selected for 10 consecutive years to be part of the International Buyer Program by the U.S. Department of Commerce, and this trip is a great opportunity to continue to build brand awareness with our neighbors to the North for World of Concrete,” said James.

The delegation will meet with representatives from the Canadian Commercial Services as well as officials from government agencies, trade associations and media related to the commercial construction industry.

WOC is the construction industry’s largest annual international event for concrete and masonry professionals featuring more than 600,000 square feet of the newest products, ideas and technologies from 1,300-plus exhibiting companies.

World of Concrete 2015 returns to Las Vegas Feb. 3-6. For more information on World of Concrete, visit www.worldofconcrete.com.
