From museum fabrication to exhibit sales and event services, this month’s People on the Move highlights industry pros taking on new roles across the tradeshow world.
Craig Hoffend joins Design and Production
Craig Hoffend has joined Design and Production Incorporated as general manager. Earlier this month, Hoffend announced his departure from Gielissen Interiors | Exhibitions | Events, where he served as chief executive officer of North America.
“After five incredible years, I am stepping down as CEO of North America at Gielissen: Interiors, Exhibitions, Events,” Hoffend says. “It has been an honor to lead and build a company that truly embodies the core values of Gielissen.”
Gielissen brought in Hoffend in 2021 to lead its North American expansion.
Hoffend graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications. Soon after, he joined the family business, Hoffend Xposition, where he served for 14 years as executive vice president. In that role, he was responsible for the Chicago division.
In 2001, Hoffend joined Freeman as national sales manager. From 2010 to 2012, he held several industry roles. He served as president of Hoffend Management Services, tradeshow specialist with IMEX, and vice president of sales and event services at National Trade Productions.
Later, Hoffend joined GES in 2012 as vice president of sports event and marketing. During his time there, he received the GES 2013 Gold and 2014 Platinum sales achievement awards. He then returned to Freeman for four years before opening AllClear Events during the COVID pandemic. In May 2021, Gielissen hired him for its North American leadership role.
Now, Hoffend is joining Design and Production. “I’m excited to announce that I have accepted the position of general manager at Design and Production, Inc. in Washington, D.C.,” Hoffend says. “With more than 30 years in the exhibits and events industry, I am honored to join a company with an outstanding history in museum fabrication and experiential environments as it celebrates 75 years of excellence.”
Brett Hyams joins Eagle Management
Brett Hyams has joined Eagle Management as vice president of strategic growth.
Hyams most recently served as senior sales executive at SmartSource for nearly 13 years. However, this is not his first vice president role. He also served as vice president of sales at PUSH Agency and vice president of business development at Kubik.
Earlier in his career, Hyams was director of sales for the Northeast region at Derse. He started as an account executive at Beital Displays-Syma. Later, he served as senior account executive at Exhibitgroup/Giltspur and Art Guild, Inc.
Hyams is a graduate of Rider University.
Robert Mickiewicz joins Procedes
Procedes LLC has announced that Robert Mickiewicz has joined the company in strategic partnership development.
Mickiewicz previously served as account executive at Exhibit Concepts, Inc. In addition, he freelances in development at Paul Jr. Designs.
