Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre’s Director of Customer Experience and Optimization, Anne Jamieson, was recently named chair of the Meetings & Events Australia Board. Announced at MEA’s Annual General Meeting, the new Board consists of a diverse range of meetings and events professionals who will guide the organization in 2017 and into the future.

With more than 30 years of experience in the meetings and events industry and a MEA Board member since 2010, Ms Jamieson brings a wealth of knowledge to the MEA Board and will play an instrumental role in reinvigorating and growing the organization over the coming years. “The role of the Board is incredibly important and the next few years are critical to MEA as an organization,” Ms Jamieson said. “Our first step is to refine our strategic plan for the next one, three and five years, ensuring that we work on behalf of MEA members to actively drive revenue and deliver the right outcomes for our industry.” “I look forward to working closely with MEA Chief Executive Officer, Robyn Johnson and the Board to support our stakeholders and to ensure that MEA is seen as the peak body for the meetings and events industry,” Ms Jamieson added.
