MCI has entered into a long-term partnership with Messe Berlin to develop a high-level conference program targeted at corporate Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) buyers to be held concurrently with ITB Asia, the tradeshow for the Asian travel market.
The previous editions of ITB Asia have seen a dominant attendance of buyers from the leisure-travel sector, and this partnership will bring a new dimension to the show by attracting more corporate MICE buyers.
“MCI is delighted to partner with ITB Asia to develop a high level educational program for buyers of corporate meetings,” said Robin Lokerman, president, Asia Pacific MCI. “ITB Asia is becoming one of the key meeting places for the Asia Pacific MICE industry, and we look forward to bringing some of our clients from all over Asia to the show as hosted buyers.”
Comprising two educational sessions, the forums will feature keynote speakers and panelists with a plethora of diverse experiences and insightful perspectives on the evolving MICE landscape.
The Performance Improvement Forum will reveal how to deliver a credible and material return on investment by designing and executing appropriate travel incentive programs. The Procurement Insight Forum analyzes future challenges facing the procurement role by examining the increasing importance of the procurement role and its current challenges. Each forum is made up of keynote speeches and interactive round table discussions.
ITB Asia 2012 is scheduled from Oct. 17 through Oct. 19, and the MCI corporate MICE buyer program is scheduled for Oct. 18 and at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. MCI expects its program to attract more than100 international top buyers each day.
