Business consulting firm mdg has announced that Senior Vice President Caitlin Fox has accepted promotion to president in July and the company’s former president and chief marketing strategist, Kimberly Hardcastle, has moved into the new role of chief marketing strategist of mdg’s parent company, Freeman.
Fox will be working closely with Laura Davidson, ceo of recently acquired Tag Digital, leading mdg into an era of strong digital transformation, powered by data, innovation, and growing event participation.
“It’s an incredible honor to carry forward the legacy of mdg,” said Fox. “With the support of our amazing team and the expanded digital capabilities that come with Tag Digital, I’m confident we’ll help our clients achieve even bigger and bolder results.”
Davidson added, “Joining forces with mdg is a powerful combination. Together, we’re delivering a truly unique offering that blends digital-first thinking with deep industry expertise — and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s ahead.”
Fox started in marketing with Versace US in 2008, moving up through such companies as MBA, 1105 Media, and Access Intelligence, before joining mdg as vice president, marketing in 2014. In 2020, she started a two year career break and founded the Glow Club, before rejoining mdg as vice president, marketing – head of circles.
Hardcastle, a former owner of mdg, was president and chief marketing strategist for nearly 25 years, guiding the company through exponential growth and the sale to Freeman in 2018.
On LinkedIn, Hardcastle said, “After 24 incredible years at mdg, I stepped into a new role as Chief Strategist at Freeman Company. Leading mdg through years of growth, including its acquisition by Freeman in 2018, was the honor of a lifetime and I’m so grateful to Denise Paccione, mdg’s founder, my mentor, and dear friend who believed in me, even though I had no prior agency or event industry experience.”
“I couldn’t be prouder of the team or more confident in the leaders who are stepping up,” she said in mdg’s press release. “mdg is in exceptionally good hands, and I’m looking forward to cheering from the sidelines (and the strategy room).”
