Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Bureau Announces Election of 2017 Board of Directors

Meet AC, the Atlantic City Convention and Visitors Bureau, officially announces the election of the 2017 Meet AC Board of Directors.

The 2017 Meet AC Board of Directors are as follows; Jeffery Albrecht, chairman, general manager of Sheraton Atlantic City, Alan Rivin, vice chairman, vice president of Hotel Operations at Tropicana Casino Resort, Frank Dougherty, secretary, co-owner of Dock’s Oyster House and the Knife & Fork Inn, Mark Sachais, treasurer, vice president of hotel operations at Resorts Casino Hotel and rounding out the representatives is Chris Howard (not pictured), officer, executive director of the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

“On behalf of Meet AC, I am honored to welcome back our board of directors. Each individual brings something new and diverse to the group. My board has given me the full support needed to do my daily tasks and I would like to thank them for a successful 2016. I look forward to our perseverance in 2017 with implementing Meet AC’s 2017 strategic plans,” stated Jim Wood, president and CEO of Meet AC.

In spite of a very challenging destination, Meet AC has carved out a hugely positive meetings and conventions message,” said Jeff Albrecht, Meet AC Board chairman and general manager, Sheraton, Atlantic City. “The Meet AC team received some of the highest accolades from four of the most prestigious industry events any destination could possibly achieve and has put Atlantic City in the forefront of every destination decision maker. We are extremely proud to be board members of such an accomplished group of sales executives,” added Albrecht.

The elected board of representatives began their one-year term starting January 9, 2017. Meet AC elections are held each year and voted amongst each board representative. The Meet AC Board of Directors meets the second Monday of every month.
