Due to increased demand, The Meetings Show, an event for the inbound and outbound meetings industry in the UK, expanded its sales team with the appointment of a new member.
Now assisting the sales team is Will Platt, who will help bring on new exhibitors to the show.
“We have taken the step to strengthen the sales team in order to deliver an even bigger and more comprehensive range of meeting industry suppliers to hosted buyers and trade visitors when the show returns to Olympia, [London] in July,” explained Katy Phelps, sales director, The Meetings Show.
Platt studied law at the University of Northampton and was previously a sales executive for Engineer magazine.
“It’s an exciting time to be joining The Meetings Show. The role offers plenty of opportunities to grow within a well-established team, and the commercial experience I have will help the show grow in new areas,” said Platt. “I’ve already had the opportunity to learn a lot about the meetings sector from the networking events I’ve attended in my first week, which included the industry’s Mistletoe event, and I’m looking forward to making an impact on promoting the show to exhibitors.”
