Moss names executive V.P. of research and development

bobfreyMoss, Inc is announced on April 1 the appointment of Bob Frey to the position of executive vice president of research and development.

Frey has been with Moss as vice president of research and development since 2006 when the company acquired Nichols Incorporated in Salt Lake City. From 1999 to 2006 he was the general manager and co-owner of Nichols Incorporated, taking the company from $3 million in revenue to $18 million during his tenure there. Prior to that Frey was the vice president of Marker and general manager of DNR USA for Marker International. He also was responsible for the construction of a 56,000-square-foot snow board factory.


“Unequivocally, Bob brings substantial value to our organization with his strategic thinking and leadership,” Charlie Corsentino, chairman, president and CEO of Moss. “I am delighted that he now serves on Moss’ executive team.”

Frey has created many innovative products and most recently, he developed a revolutionary new modular wall system, the Moss EZ Fabric Wall System, which combines the versatility of modular walls with the benefits of lightweight fabric structures. Additionally, he has led the Moss team in launching a made-for-fabric Moss Groove Light Box system and also the introduction of the Moss Groove system as well as the lauded Entasi and Allure systems.

Frey is listed as the inventor with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and on more than a dozen awarded or pending patents. He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Worchester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass. and a master’s degree in business administration from The Amos Tuck School in Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.

With operations in Chicago, Maine, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, Moss  provides tensioned fabric structures, display hardware and printed graphics to the event, exhibit and retail interiors markets.
