New ALHI president to take on current CEO’s president duties

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), a provider of meeting planning resources, expanded its executive leadership team with a president who is a respected hospitality industry sales, marketing and operations executive.

Effective Oct. 15, Jim Schultenover will be responsible for overseeing ALHI’s day-to-day operations. Current President and CEO David Gabri will primarily serve as CEO after Schultenover joins ALHI.

“With Jim assuming day-to-day operations, it will provide me more time and opportunity to focus on the ‘big picture’ for ALHI, our Members and Accounts we serve,” said Gabri. “I look forward to working closely with Jim to lead our incredible ALHI team in serving our valued customers and Members.”

Bringing 30 years of hospitality industry sales and marketing experience, Schultenover served as president of Krisam Group (KG) for nine years. He also served as president of three KG divisions. As chief marketing officer for Ian Schrager Hotels, he was responsible for overseeing the marketing, sales and growth of hotels and resorts. For six years, Schultenover worked as vice president of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC.

“Jim is the ideal executive for the job. He is highly respected, with matching strong core values and character. [He has] a passion to serve clients and possesses exceptional hotel and resort sales and marketing management expertise,” said Gabri.

Schultenover’s experience also includes serving as senior vice president of sales and marketing for Omni Hotels and as vice president of group sales for Convention Hotels and Resorts. Additionally, he worked for the Marriott organization in a variety of growth capacities.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin, Stout.
