New food services company to serve West Coast venues

Premier Food Services launched a new boutique food company that will create sustainable, chef-driven menus rooted in its Southern California heritage for a variety of West Coast venues.

Headquartered in San Diego, the new company’s expanded portfolio is composed of a diverse mix of facilities that include convention centers, arenas, iconic attractions, business dining facilities, performing art centers, amphitheaters and universities. Based on the three pillars of hospitality, community and taste, Premier’s focus will be creating memorable food experiences centered on seasonal ingredients and locally inspired food.

“This is an exciting new era for Premier that will allow us to elevate the ever-evolving culinary experience to new heights,” said Paul Tazar, managing director, Premier. “By combining Premier’s unmatched expertise with the industry’s top talent and cutting edge concepts, approach and food-marketing techniques, Premier is positioned to boldly reinvent the hospitality industry with menus specifically tailored to the unique cultures and audiences of each and every one of our venues.”

The 31 clients Premier will serve range from California to Alaska to Oklahoma. The standalone organization’s portfolio will consist of previously existing Premier facilities, along with the West Coast SAVOR portfolio.

Included among its clients will be the Del Mar Fairground in San Diego; the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco; the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Calif.; the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.; the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma City; and the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla.

“This presents a distinctive opportunity for existing clients and enhances our ability to expand the food service collection by providing innovative hospitality solutions as a differentiator and industry leader,” said Tom Marchetto, senior vice president, strategic marketing, Premier.

The remaining accounts of SAVOR, which will operate out of its existing Pennsylvania headquarters, will continue to be led by Shaun Beard.
