The Chelsea, a 40,000-square foot event and performance space at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will offer business, meeting and convention planners an avant-garde approach to meetings.
Nestled within the luxury resort, the guests and attendees can access the space from the resort’s existing meeting areas, rooms, restaurants, lobby and The Strip.
Featuring the best plug-and-play audio-visual technology in Las Vegas, large digital displays create surfaces for meetings and groups to customize and enhance the experience beyond traditional programming and sponsorship opportunities. Carrying over the resort’s theme of modern sophistication, The Chelsea also offers vintage décor with an industrial grit.
“The Chelsea is growing our meetings and groups business by offering The Cosmopolitan guests an experience that does not exist today,” said John Unwin, CEO, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. “The Chelsea is a design-driven, performance space that will surprise clients with both its intimacy and its scale. From the Maya Hayuk art pieces to the industrial metal mesh detail – this is unlike any space that exists today.”
Opening December 2013, the space is transformable to host an intimate concert, business meeting or presentation, or a reception. With a movable stage, the space can be configured to suit various events and meetings for over 3,000 guests or attendees with a 2,565-person theater-style seating. The Chelsea could also fit a 900-person classroom-style event, 750-person banquet-style event or 65 10×10 exhibit-style booths.
Already drawing top artists to its stage, a grand opening celebration for The Chelsea will take place on New Year’s Eve with performances by Grammy Award-winning recording artist Bruno Mars on Dec. 29 and 31.
