NürnbergMesse China creates new show for automotive industry

World Automotive Congress 2010

The World Automotive Congress, held last in 2010, will now be held parallel with the FISITA 2012 Exhibition.

NürnbergMesse China and the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE-China) have created a new tradeshow for the international automotive industry in China.

The FISITA 2012 Exhibition, the International Exhibition for Automotive Engineering and Manufacturing, will be run parallel with the well-established FISITA 2012 World Automotive Congress held by the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d’Ingénieurs des Techniques de l’Automobile (FISITA) and hosted by SAE-China.

Unlike other car shows focusing on the automotive aftersales, the FISITA 2012 Exhibition will host the entire supply chain for automotive engineering and production. The double event will take place from 27 to 29 November 2012 in Bejing, China.

The FISITA 2012 Exhibition is set to attract both the Chinese and the international automotive industry. It will cover all areas of the automotive engineering and production sector, which includes energy efficient vehicles, advanced powertrain, transmission and drivelines, as well as electronics, safety solutions and manufacturing technologies.

The FISITA 2012 Exhibition will run in conjunction with FISITA 2012 World Automotive Congress, which has been organized by FISITA since 1947. In 2012, it will be hosted by SAE-China in Beijing, China. The biennial event provides opportunities for automotive experts to present the latest technologies and to exchange information in the field of automotive and related industries. Trade visitors and exhibitors alike will benefit from the combination of scientific debate, best-practice models and industrial products and solutions.

Supported by SAE-China, NürnbergMesse is entering a booming market in China by setting up this new event. Over the past years, the country has become the largest manufacturing base and the largest market for automobiles and trucks in the world. All major international automotive producers already run their own production bases in China.

At the same time, the domestic demand in China has increased dramatically. In 2010, more than 18 million vehicles were sold. Over the next years, further growth of 10 to 15 percent is expected.

With FISITA 2012 Exhibition, NürnbergMesse Group continues its international growth by adding a new event in the portfolio of its affiliate NürnbergMesse China. The subsidiary was founded by NürnbergMesse Group in 2007 to better meet the demands of the Asian market. Affiliates in North America, Brazil and Italy since followed. Today, the group’s portfolio covers some 120 exhibitions and congresses in Nuremberg and worldwide.
