NürnbergMesse launches Mexico Pet Expo in Guadalajara

The U.S. subsidiary of NürnbergMesse, one of the fastest growing exhibition companies in Europe and one of the largest exhibition companies in the world, has announced the launch of Mexico Pet Expo and Conference, June 27-29, 2012, in Guadalajara, Mexico, the second most populated city in Mexico.

An international business-to-business tradeshow and conference, Mexico Pet Expo is the inaugural show for the Mexican pet industry. Like Pet South America, a pet and veterinary tradeshow by NürnbergMesse Brazil in São Paulo, the Mexico Pet Expo aims at a specific market.

Mexico Pet Expo 2012 is expected to attract more than 150 exhibitors and 5,000 pet product buyers, establishing an innovative and new business arena for domestic and international companies interested in the Mexican pet industry. Tradeshow organizer, NürnbergMesse North America, and conference organizer, Pet Business Association in Mexico led by industry insider Antonio Figueroa, expect Mexico Pet Expo to be the primary platform for pet industry leaders to engage the Mexican marketplace.

“Mexico Pet Expo 2012 will be a vibrant combination of an international industry tradeshow and conference,” said Dirk Ebener, CEO & Managing Director of NürnbergMesse North America. “The Mexican pet industry has sought to host an event that best represents the positive state of this market and its future growth potential. We believe Mexico Pet Expo will provide the necessary platform for businesses to continue the positive growth trend while allowing them to build and strengthen relationships with new and existing pet product buyers through vital face-to-face meetings.”

President of the Pet Business Association Mexico, Señor Antonio Figueroa, adds that Mexico Pet Expo will be “the first integral business platform specialized in the Mexican pet industry. As a retired veterinarian, I am excited to help launch the first industry show and conference to promote the exchange of ideas and encourage innovation to enhance the overall quality of pet products and services currently offered in the Mexican market.”

As Mexico is urbanizing with official estimates of a four percent GDP growth rate in 2012, the country’s citizens are choosing to live in smaller homes, increasing the importance of quality pet products that promote the health and grooming of their pets. Euromonitor forecasts pet products that control and eliminate pet bad breath will be one of the latest innovations to penetrate the pet product market next year.

To ensure the overall quality of Mexico Pet Expo 2012 and its professional atmosphere, admission to the show is strictly limited to trade visitors in the supply trade, veterinary medicine, official agencies and commercial users such as veterinary clinics, boarding kennels, grooming salons and similar establishments. Pet lovers in the community, however, will also benefit from the tradeshow and conference. After the tradeshow, local pet stores will be able to offer new products and services that feature the latest advancements in the pet care industry.
