Mount Laurel, NJ – On Location, a nationwide provider of labor and management services for exhibits, events, and environments, proudly announces the appointment of David Brown as its new Director of Sales and Marketing. Brown brings more than 30 years of experience in the live events industry, with a proven track record of driving client engagement, strategic growth, and sales leadership.

Throughout his career, Brown has held a range of senior roles. His most notable tenure spanned nearly two decades at a large format wholesale print provider specializing in portable, modular, and custom display graphics and hardware. Prior to that, he worked with a national design/build firm focused on custom trade show exhibits, broadcast studios, and permanent branded environments.

Widely known as an “idea guy,” Brown has consistently prioritized relationship building over transactional selling. Most recently, he led the revitalization of a national sales team for a leading system manufacturer, integrating customer-centric technology and hands-on coaching to boost team performance—always guided by the principle that live events are fundamentally a people business.

Brown has been an active member of the Experiential Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) since the early 2000s, contributing to both its Future Workforce and Scholarship Foundation committees.

While new to the labor management segment of the industry, Brown offers a fresh perspective on customer engagement and market development. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening On Location’s brand presence, streamlining internal processes, and delivering exceptional experiences to clients nationwide.

“My love for solving puzzles is only matched by my curiosity,” Brown shared. “I’ve been familiar with On Location for years, but it was Michael’s passion for the company—and his vision for how I could make an impact—that made the decision an easy one.” He added, “I often say, ‘There’s what you can do, and what you should do.’ That mindset reflects both ethics and client commitment—qualities that are clearly ingrained in the On Location culture.”

Brown holds a bachelor’s degree from Beloit College in Wisconsin, where he was a competitive swimmer. He remains an avid endurance athlete, having completed numerous triathlons and open water swims, including crossings of the English Channel and Alcatraz. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and attending live music events—having seen the Grateful Dead over 140 times.
