The Professional Convention Management Association has promoted Robert Haas (pictured above) to chief administrative officer and promoted Delores Hudson, CPA, to vice president of finance. As PCMA’s first chief administrative officer, Haas will be responsible for the organization’s IT, human resources, data and finance departments. Hudson will oversee PCMA’s financial infrastructure and accountability as it supports the organization’s mission to be the catalyst for global economic and social progress.
“Robert and Delores for the past three years have been integral in PCMA’s transition to be the global leader in business events and I am thrilled for their expanded roles at our organization,” says Sherrif Karamat, CAE, PCMA’s president and CEO. “I know with Delores’ extensive background in non-profit finance and Robert’s expertise in data analytics, PCMA will continue to be a powerful contributor to business events education, products and community.”
Haas was previously PCMA’s first chief innovation officer. He first joined PCMA as vice president of business development and data intelligence in 2014. He has more than 15 years of database marketing, product development and consulting experience from working in business-to-business and business-to-consumer industries. He understands how innovation, research and technology intersect and evaluates what is leading edge versus cutting edge. His previous roles include senior vice president of strategic product development and marketing at Scranton Gillette Communications Inc., and he worked in direct response marketing for Tribune Direct.
Hudson has almost 30 years of financial reporting experience. She joined PCMA in 2016 as director of finance after holding similar roles at Suburban Access Inc., and Apostolic Faith Church. Prior to entering the non-profit sector, Hudson worked at Harris Bank for 18 years where her last position was assistant vice president, finance.
