The Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority (PCCA) recently issued a request for proposals from experienced organizations or firms interested in managing and operating the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
The Pennsylvania Convention Center Authority is inviting submittals from qualified firms that have proven experience in providing comprehensive management and full-service operations at convention or exhibition facilities in similar markets. A selected proposer will be responsible for the comprehensive management and operation of the center, including maintenance of the land, building, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Other responsibilities of the selected company will include Local sales and marketing of the center, coordinating with the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, management of various product and service providers and licensing of events.
A mandatory proposers’ conference and site tour will be held on April 4 at 2:30 p.m. at the Center. All prospective proposers are required to attend. The deadline for the receipt of proposals is May 3, 2013.
