Randy Pekowski Joins ESCA Board of Directors

The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association is pleased to announce Randy Pekowski, president and COO at The Expo Group, will be replacing Mitch Isaacs, former vice president of marketing at Las Vegas Expo, beginning January 2021 on their Board of Directors. With more than 25 years of experience in tradeshows and events and as president since 2006, Pekowski has led The Expo Group in realizing double-digital organic and acquisition annual compounded growth. He has been heavily involved in both strategic planning and operational execution throughout his career. His insight and leadership in process and technology innovation led him to become an inventor-of-record for The Expo Group’s Automated Convention Processing System and Method (U.S. Pats. 6,557,007 and 6,721,763), that enables the company to deliver its renowned Single Source Solution® service delivery model. Since that time, his servant leadership has challenged the competitive landscape’s status quo through corporate transformation, organizational culture, and financial performance, creating long-term value for the generational company.

Pekowski enjoys sharing his experience as an active board member in YPO and member of IAEE, PCMA and ESCA. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Texas A&M University and post-graduate studies in Owner President Management from Harvard Business School.

Pekowski says, “The ESCA board has an opportunity to consider solutions and aid for its members that couldn’t have been previously imagined helping rebuild and restart the event industry. I am honored to answer the call, one that Larry Arnaudet and the ESCA headquarters staff has been making consistently for years, to serve the ESCA membership, the Board and the event industry in contributing to future successes in these challenging times we are facing.”

ESCA has decided that in light of the challenges that COVID-19 has brought to 2020, they are extending the current board terms for one additional year to maintain consistency and keep the association’s leadership in placDustin Blaine ESCA board e during the COVID-19 recovery period.

In addition, Dustin Blaine (pictured right) has changed member organizations. In compliance with ESCA bylaws, this change required a vote of the Board. By unanimous vote, the motion to retain Blaine on the Board passed. ESCA congratulates him on his new position as director of West Coast operations at EXPO Convention Contractors, Inc., and are grateful for his continued dedication to ESCA.

ESCA now has more than 160 member companies throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico and maintains alliances with IAEE, TSEA and CEIR to promote the exhibition industry.
