Marina Bay Sands, a Singaporean casino-based vacation resort, concluded a record-breaking 2013 with more than 70 tradeshows held at the interconnected Sands Expo and Convention Centre compared to 51 shows in 2012.
Since opening, the integrated resort (IR) has become the venue of many international and regional conferences and tradeshows, including many that are new to Singapore and Asia as well as returning shows.
Events underway in Quarter 1 (Q1) of 2014 include Art Stage Singapore 2014, an international art fair focusing on Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. Staging at Marina Bay Sands for its fourth consecutive year since debuting in 2011, the art fair is returning with Marina Bay Sands as the official hotel.
New-to-Singapore shows include MEDLAB Asia (Feb. 18-20), a laboratory exhibition and congress on the latest advances in the medical laboratory market; Maison Objet Asia (March 10-13), an international trade fair from Paris for professionals in the furnishings field; and Black Hat Asia (March 24-28), a security conference series.
