Reed Exhibitions has recently appointed John M. Alfano to the position of operations manager. He will be tasked to deliver superior customer service and to promote customer satisfaction for Reed’s events.
Alfano has been assigned to Reed’s market leading optical events, including International Vision Expo East in New York and West in Las Vegas. He will also be assisting on the National Hardware Show®, Eastern Sports & Outdoor Show (ESS) and FIBO Power USA & Europa, an addition to Reed’s Pop Culture portfolio, taking place from Sept. 30 – Oct. 1 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. He will report to Joe Scalzo, operations director for Reed.
Alfano brings more than nine years of experience with multi-level facilitation of conventions, tradeshows and special events. He was most recently a field service manager for Renaissance Management in Las Vegas, where he managed staff and labor for more than 200 specialty tradeshows annually.
Alfano has added experience working in all major Las Vegas venues, hotels and convention centers where he demonstrated excellent planning, budgeting and relationship-building skills between management, employees, customers, venues, and labor. In prior experience, Alfano has coordinated and supervised major construction projects, supervised on-site labor and implemented safety procedures and on-site rules and regulations.
