Reed Exhibitions Promotes Fernando Fischer; Herve Sedky Becomes Emerald President/CEO

Reed Exhibitions Global CEO Hugh Jones announces that Fernando Fischer has been named president, Reed Exhibitions Americas. Fischer succeeds Hervé Sedky, who is leaving the company in December to become president and CEO of Emerald Expositions.

Fischer joined Reed Exhibitions as president, U.S. in January 2020. Previously he was CEO of Reed Exhibitions (RX) Brazil for three years, during which time he dramatically improved customer value, financial performance and employee engagement. Under his leadership, he significantly enhanced both the unique and high impact digital solutions for matchmaking and developing the employee culture, winning RX Brazil the accolade of one the “best places to work” in the country.

As president RX Americas, he continues to directly lead the company’s operation in the U.S. and adds Latin America under his regional management, where he has Claudio Della Nina, managing director LATAM, in the local management of Brazil and Mexico operations.

Prior to joining Reed Exhibitions, Fischer served as CEO of six companies in Brazil and one startup in the U.S. across a wide range of industries ranging from consumer electronics, mobile, gaming and healthcare, to security, food service and industrial.
