Unveiling a LEED Standard Silver event and meeting space certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, the Renaissance Dallas Hotel debuted a $35 million dollar renovation to its function space.
“What you see today is seven years of planning and design that has come together for what I think is an awesome space,” said Mark Woelffer, general manager, Renaissance Dallas Hotel.
Featuring linenless tables, the meeting and event space was expanded by 30,000 square feet, totaling nearly 50,000 total square feet. Additionally, a technologically-advanced 16,000 square-foot Grand Ballroom fits up to 1,500.
Modern décor welcomes guests to 24-foot vaulted ceilings, skylight crystal chandeliers and a state-of-the art lighting and sound system that include remote-controlled screens and window shades.
Offering a 10,000 square-foot City View Terrace, guests can take in views of Downtown Dallas from 6,000 square feet of indoor space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows or from the 4,000 square-foot outdoor terrace with retractable canopy.
“We’re well on our way,” said Sherry Thomas, director of sales, Renaissance Dallas Hotel. “We have huge bookings in 2015 and 2016, so we’re definitely headed in the right direction.”
As part of the JWM Family Enterprises portfolio of hotels, Renaissance Dallas Hotel is one of 16 family-owned properties along with executives of the Marriott and Renaissance brand.
