Renewable-energies expo slated in Toronto

reed_logoThe first All-Energy Canada expo featuring renewable energies is scheduled for Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, 2013, at Exhibition Place in Toronto, officials for Reed Exhibitions announced.

Reed Exhibitions acquired All-Energy, the UK’s largest renewable-energy exhibition and conference, in July 2011 and bought a majority share in All-Energy Australia in early 2012. The firm is expanding into the North American renewable-energy market with the new event being held in association with the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA).

Like the two other All-Energy events, the All-Energy Canada expo will encompass all aspects of renewable and sustainable energy, combining a major exhibition and highly relevant and topical conference.

“Developing All-Energy Canada with OSEA is an important step in securing our position in the North American alternative-energy market,” said Jonathan Heastie, exhibition director, Reed Exhibitions. “What’s more, it is a key element of our global renewable energy strategy, the expansion of which was a deciding factor when acquiring All-Energy.”

More than 165,000 visitors attended the 18 Reed Exhibitions’ alternative-energy events in 2011, meeting 3,000 exhibitors and taking part in highly relevant conference sessions and networking. All-Energy Canada will strive to replicate the success of its sister events, bringing together the renewables and sustainability sectors at one key event.

“Canada boasts excellent natural resource, which are used to generate clean, sustainable energy. Ontario, as Canada’s most populous province, is leading the way in supporting renewables through the Green Energy Act and OSEA’s role in driving forward the green agenda, both in the province and across the country, was instrumental in our choosing them as the key industry stakeholder to develop All-Energy Canada,” said Heastie.
