Reno Tahoe offers $5,000 credit for meetings in 2012

Reno TahoeThe Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) is offering a special incentive for meetings. If you are currently looking to schedule an event in 2012, you may be eligible for up to $5,000 in additional savings by booking your event in Reno Tahoe.

Planners can receive a master account credit if the event produces more than 100 room nights at one of a dozen resort hotel properties. With RSCVA’s owner/operator model, along with relaxed work labor rules, many convention expenses are typically 20 percent under the national average. RSCVA also provides a variety of cost-saving options for fundraising and team-building events, due to the excellent facilities it operates. These include Wildcreek Golf Course, the National Bowling Stadium and the 6,000-seat Reno Events Center.

Event attendees will receive hotel rates 30 percent below competing destinations, and airfare 12 percent less than the national average.

Participating hotel properties include Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, Circus Circus Reno, Eldorado Hotel Casino, Grand Sierra Resort & Casino, Harrah’s Reno, Holiday Inn Sparks, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino, John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino Resort, Peppermill Resort Spa Casino, Ramada Reno Hotel Casino, Sands Regency and Silver Legacy Resort Casino.

Planners must book their event for 2012 by March 31, 2012.
