Sho-Link Incorporated, a premier installation and dismantle service company, announces the retirement of Scott Ciepley, Chicago city manager. Longtime industry leader, Ciepley left Sho-Link at the end of January and Stephan Mahoney was named the new Chicago city manager.
Ciepley, a 37-year industry veteran of the tradeshow convention business, became Sho-Link’s Chicago city manager in April 2016. He had been employed with Freeman Decorating for 33 years; as leadman, I & D foreman and general foreman.
“Scott Ciepley is the type of man that you can respect as a leader and be grateful that he’s your friend,” says Jerry Regep, regional operations manager. “The things I have learned from him, in the time we have worked together, are things that I hope to carry with me for the rest of my career. A small example would be great character, tremendous work ethic and unstoppable drive. Congrats to your retirement and may you enjoy each day of it.”
“Scott has proven to be an incredible leader in his time with Sho-Link,” says Rob West, vice president of operations. “Watching his tireless work ethic, I have always admired the dedication that Scott has to his crews, our members and this industry. Scott will be greatly missed as he takes on this next adventure in his life. Congratulations, Scott, well deserved!”
“It is important for every company to have strong leadership and Scott is one of those people that truly embraces the role as a leader and mentor to everyone he works with,” adds Scott Rudel, president. “I have had the privilege of working under Scott and alongside him. To one of the most respected people in the industry, congratulations on your well-earned retirement.”
