Sho-Link Names Stephan Mahoney as Chicago City Manager

Sho-Link Inc., a premier installation and dismantle service company, has named Stephan Mahoney as Chicago city manager.

Mahoney started in the industry in October of 2005 in Las Vegas as a timekeeper for a larger general contracting company. He began an apprenticeship as a Teamster and quickly became a Journeyman Teamster. During his time in Las Vegas, Mahoney moved up to a lead and working foreman for several different departments. “Working in one of the busiest cities in the world for tradeshows was by far the best place to learn,” says Mahoney. “The overall quantity of issues that we faced and solved offered a vast amount of knowledge for this business.” In October 2014, Mahoney moved back home to Chicago and became a union carpenter. Mahoney joined Sho-Link in November 2016 as Chicago assistant city manager.

“Congratulations to Stephan Mahoney on his advancement with Sho-Link,” says Scott Ciepley, recently retired Chicago city manager. “I have worked closely with Stephan for over six years, he is ready to take on this new challenge in his career. He is a good friend and will be a great asset in his new position with Sho-Link. Extremely happy and proud of my friend and co-worker Stephan Mahoney,”

“I would like to congratulate Stephan on his promotion to Chicago city manager,” says Jerry Regep, regional operations manager. “I have had the pleasure in watching Stephan grow within the company the past six years. Without question I believe he is ready to take on his new position with Sho-Link.”

“I am extremely pleased to see the progression of Stephan from assistant manager to Chicago city manager,” says Rob West, vice president of operations. “Stephan has shown that he not only can handle the everyday demands of one of Sho-Link’s largest and demanding cities, but that he has what is needed to successfully establish and maintain a successful crew while balancing the needs of our clients. This is a true testament to Stephan and the many years he will have as Sho-Link’s Chicago city manager,”
