The Duke Energy Convention Center (DECC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, continues to be a leader in technology trends, adding two additional public areas with free Wi-Fi. Thanks to their partnership with Smart City Networks, DECC now offers free Wi-Fi areas on all three floors of the convention center in designated public areas. Complete layout of floor plans and additional information are available at www.duke-energycenter.com.
“Duke Energy Convention Center is one of the most technological-advanced convention centers in the United States,” said Chris Pendleton, general manager of technology services, Smart City, on-site at DECC. “ The services available offer a variety of buyout and sponsorship opportunities for hot spots facility-wide, which has growing popularity.”
Public areas where free Wi-Fi is available will be clearly marked. Within those locations, basic web browsing is available and detailed step-by-step instructions on how to access the network will be posted. Most visitors to the DECC use Wi-Fi to check email or access websites. The network implemented in the building will meet these basic needs and supports thousands of users at once. The designated areas were chosen specifically because it’s where guests tend to congregate such as the Espresso Café and outside meeting and ballrooms.
“Duke Energy Convention Center is thrilled to have Smart City Networks as our exclusive internet and telecommunications provider,” said Ric Booth, general manager, DECC. “Having the most advanced technology only adds to what we can offer our visitors and customers.”
