For exhibitors looking to take their work outside of the usual places, several destinations in Europe have state-of-the-art convention centers. Although the travelling might require a little more effort, moving a tradeshow to a different and unique convention center opens up the exhibiting process to a world of new possibilities.
Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Center, Finland
The Helsinki Fair Center, located in Helsinki, Finland, is the country’s largest tradeshow venue. The building holds six exhibit halls and over 40 meeting rooms, each ranging in size.
Overall, the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center offers over 890,000 square feet of versatile exhibit space. In fact, in 2011, the Helsinki Center opened a new, multifunctional hall, adding an additional 160,000 square feet of space.
The Center is also updated with high-tech facilities to assist any tradeshow or event it hosts. Other services include on-site exhibit design as well as concessions and printing kiosks.
Kiev Expo Plaza Exhibition Center, Ukraine
The Kiev Expo Plaza, centered in Kiev, Ukraine, holds three large exhibition halls and an even larger outdoor tradeshow area.
Located in the western part of Kiev, the Expo Plaza is connected to all major railroads and routes. With over 875,000 square feet of exhibit space, the Plaza can host any size tradeshow or meeting.
Each of the three halls is fully air conditioned and have their own loading docks. Each offers a total space of about 300,000 square feet each. Along with the other amenities the Plaza offers is a full-service, in-house restaurant.
Lyon Conference Center, France
With over 270,000 square feet of exhibit space, the Lyon Conference Center in France is capable of accommodating groups of 50 to 19,000.
The Center offers three lecture halls, with 300, 900 and 3,000 seats. On one level of the Center, over 90,000 square feet is available for tradeshows, conferences and galas.
The Lyon Conference Center also offers 26 meeting rooms, ranging from 50-450 seats each. Among the amenities at the Center is rentable furniture, high-tech facilities and complete air conditioning.
Oslofjord Convention Center, Norway
The Oslofjord Convention Center, located near Oslo, Norway, was structured to accommodate a large number of guests.
The main hall boasts over 50,000 square feet of space, making a seating gathering of 6,800 or a standing gathering of people easy.
The most impressive quality about the Oslofjord Convention Center is the amenities. Translation facilities, leisure activities and a high-scale banquet hall are among the benefits of holding a meeting at the Center.
Manchester Central Convention Complex
The Manchester Central Convention Complex, located in the heart of Manchester, is a large venue that provides a wide range of services to its exhibitors.
The venue is divided into several halls, which can be combined into one large exhibit space. Combined, the space totals over 105,000 square feet. This space also includes a seated auditorium for up to 4,000 attendees.
There are also six meeting rooms located throughout the center. Each has removable walls, making the sizing flexible. The Manchester Central Convention Complex also provides catering services, technical assistance and on-site event management.
